A Simple Doodle, Or Something More Sinister?

This is what happens when you spend too much time on my blog. Unique has fallen victim to an acute case of iMuslim-mania. She just can't get me out of her head, apparently. She has also taken liberties with my username, by adding 'ah' to the end. This is a sign that the disease is getting worse, as that is my lesser-known YouTube ID (some highly unoriginal brother stole “iMuslim”, cha).

In her defense, the patient claims that she was simply doodling while she was on the phone, and this all happened “subconsciously”. These kinds of delusions are to be expected from sufferers of iMuslim-mania. It is obvious to any healthy individual, that bloggers are quite incapable of using the phone; Skype is much preferred over a hard-line connection. Besides which, bloggers are notoriously geeky, and are thus unlikely to have any friends to talk to.

Poor child… we can only pray that her sanity is returned to her intact.

What is Anonymity?

I was going to write this as a comment in response to Unique's latest entry, but decided that it might be worth an entry of its own.

The question i have posed in the subject, is not the most profound. In the end, a dictionary will provide an adequate and straightforward answer:

–adjective
1. without any name acknowledged, as that of author, contributor, or the like: an anonymous letter to the editor; an anonymous donation.
2. of unknown name; whose name is withheld: an anonymous author.
3. lacking individuality, unique character, or distinction: an endless row of drab, anonymous houses.

Anonymity has its uses, and can be quite empowering. But what is the point of anonymity, with people whom you have developed a bond of trust? The sisters who have access to my protected posts know my real name, my location, my job. Has it affected my writing? Not that i can tell.

So, why did i unveil the blogger's mask?

A Friendship That Spans Eternity

I want to share with you, something – something that touched my heart so deeply, that it made me weep. Although i admit to being an emotional creature, i don't tend to cry very easily, unless i am really moved, or upset.
