A very quick note… I went to Islam Expo today… lots happened… very cool stuff, māshā’Allāh… but I can't tell you now! In the mean time, check out my photos on Flickr.

Oh, and I have “outed” myself at the Expo, pretty much. I had a bunch of snazzy business cards printed off to give out to anyone I thought needed to be convinced that I was a serious blogger-type person. I know… it was tough!

Unfortunately, the timing was off. I didn't put “Dr” so-n-so on the business card, cos I am paranoid about using the title until I have official confirmation from the University of London that I have passed, in the form of a proper certificate. Well, the official confirmation decided to turn up two months early, just after I left the house to pick up the cards! Ah well… I am happy either way, alhamdulillah!

Not sure how many of you read them, but just in case you forgot… I am writing a series of podcast reviews for Ijtema.net. I'm aiming for once a week (usually Saturdays), but it's been more like once a fortnight on average!

I need volunteers for the next Nisaa podcast… read more about it here, and please pass the word on!

It's been a while since the last Nisaa podcast, for which I apologise. I hope to rejuvenate the series with something special… but I need YOU to help me out, inshā’Allāh!

I need at least five volunteers for this next podcast, preferably from different parts of the world. My plan is to create a vcast – that is, a video podcast – using photos and audio clips submitted by Nisaa members.

Finger Power

This is the first (and possibly the last) entry written from my spangly new iPod Touch! It's a little fiddly to type on – mainly cos of my fat fingers pressing the wrong keys (not as bad as Homer Simpson though!). Also not all the page elements load properly, e.g., I can't scroll through my list of categories (so good thing “Apple” & “Blogging” were visible).

Btw, I only bought this one cos the old iPod died. It has now been recycled so I don't feel so bad about contributing to the techno gadget waste pile.

Okay… I've had enough of this. The End.
