New Theme – Already?

Update (26/02/2009): My new theme has been temporarily retracted considering that it is PNG-heavy, and some people are still using Internet Explorer versions 6 and below, which have no-PNG support. I am looking for a quick fix that doesn't involve me designing a special IE<6 site!

It's been approximately two days since I launched the all new iMuslim.tv site – and already an updated template?
The few readers who knew me back when I started blogging on Blogger over two years ago, will remember how much (and how frequently) I loved to redesign my blog. Moving to WordPress.com denied me that luxury (though it did mean I had more time to spend on useful activities).
Now I have upgraded to a self-hosted blog, the opportunity for my behind to form a near-symbiotic relationship with the computer chair, as I spend countless hours wading through a maze of CSS stylesheets and incomprehensible PHP files, has finally been returned to me. Good thing I finished my PhD already, huh?
In this latest case of design fever, inspiration came from a doodle I drew on my iPod Touch:
Expect more drastic changes, whenever I feel bored and/or inspired!

I don’t like this theme :(
The white text is too difficult to read against the light blue background… I remember being a fan of your old green grass template… why not try something in a dusky purple?
Umm, the background is supposed to be black, sweety! Or a charcoal grey, really. Either way, not light or blue! I think your browser can’t handle PNG files, which sucks, cos I thought updated versions of most browsers had come round to PNG by now. :(
Please don’t tell me you’re using IE6!!!

Nice blog here, I like the way it is, maybe I am so new around but I already observed iMuslim for almost 5-6 months. And now I had already subscribe to the feed as well. But I think you can do more, why don’t you put Google friend Connect Widget on the sidebar, (this is my personal request) maybe its time to greet some new friends/ see them much closer than before. What I can say is, iMuslim has gain viewers trust, its an authority success for you and hope here, the seeds will grow by humble. Wassaalam.
Ameen… jazakumAllah khair for your comments. I will investigate the various wonderful widgets and plugins available to me now that I am on a self-hosted blog. I don’t want to have a very ‘cluttered’ layout though.
