I don’t know why, but this poem scares me a little.
But it’s written so beautifully, maybe I’ve jsut misunderstood it a little.

For someone who’s only just decided to take her own china plate out and let someone look at it, this poem terrifies me… but maybe that’s the real defintion of courage and selflessness: to risk getting your heart get broken, in order to share what you have.

Farzeen offers hope. I like the idea. As a matter of fact, I’ve done exactly that once or twice– put the cracks in another light– and sure enough, they fell into shadow.

This is a beautiful poem, showing how we sometimes bring out our hearts in our eagerness to share them, because we know our hearts are precious, and we want our loved ones to hold them gently.

I like how you alluded to our tendency to keep trying and trying, even when we know our hearts are about to get broken, and yes, they can be mended, but the cracks show.
