New Nisaa Podcast: Volunteers Needed!

I need volunteers for the next Nisaa podcast… read more about it here, and please pass the word on!

It’s been a while since the last Nisaa podcast, for which I apologise. I hope to rejuvenate the series with something special… but I need YOU to help me out, insha’Allah!

I need at least five volunteers for this next podcast, preferably from different parts of the world. My plan is to create a vcast – that is, a video podcast – using photos and audio clips submitted by Nisaa members.

It’s been a long while since I wrote anything on MuslimMatters.org… Blog About Palestine Day (and a recent experience with my iPod Touch) gave me something to write about:

The other night I was sat on my sofa not doing very much. Being the easily bored woman-child that I am, I ended up messing around with the Google Maps feature of my latest toy, which allowed me to view aerial shots of almost anywhere in the world, 007-stylee. All of a sudden, I felt the urge to perform a virtual Umrah, and a few seconds after typing in “Mecca”, I was magically transported to… California.

Podcast Review Series

I have posted my first podcast review for Ijtema. Check it aat, innit.

Plus a big “what the hey?” at the election of Boris Johnson as Mayor of London. And a huge “May God save us all” at the election of a British National Party rep to the London Assembly. They needed 5% of the total vote to get in – they got 5.33%.

Not cool, people. Not cool at all.

It really makes me wonder what Londoners have been smoking lately – and how desperate certain members of the white population must be to vote for a bunch of bigoted racist scum, like the BNP?

At this rate, I may consider spending the next four years back in Leicester.
